An IEMT session: calm, focused and fully online

No endless talking, but a structured approach that genuinely helps shift stuck emotions and patterns.

During an IEMT session, you work with Janine on the emotional charge of memories, beliefs or triggers that affect your daily life. Guided eye movements help something shift, often within a single session. Everything takes place online through a simple video call, with no software to install and no travel needed.

Approach
Structured and short-term, focusing on emotions, memories and beliefs
Perhaps you've already tried to work through something: talking, reading, reflecting. Yet that same emotion or pattern keeps coming back. An IEMT session works differently. Rather than analysing what happened, it uses focused eye movements to reduce the emotional charge of a memory or belief. Integral Eye Movement Therapy goes beyond conventional trauma processing: it also addresses deeply ingrained identity patterns. Janine guides you through this step by step, online, at a calm pace that feels safe.

What exactly happens during a session?

Many people wonder what to expect when they book their first IEMT session. It always begins with a brief exploration: which emotion, memory or belief would you like to work on? Janine helps you define this clearly without you having to share every detail. This is followed by sets of guided eye movements while you keep your attention on your chosen focus. In between, she checks what you notice in your body, thoughts or feelings. The session lasts 60 minutes and takes place entirely online via video call.

What can IEMT therapy help with?

An IEMT session is not a one-size-fits-all solution, but the method can address a wide range of concerns. Whether you're struggling with a specific fear, a recurring emotional trigger, a phobia or a deeply rooted self-image that holds you back, Integral Eye Movement Therapy works on the underlying emotional charge, not just the behaviour. In March 2026, the first exploratory peer-reviewed study on IEMT was published, in which IEMT eye movements significantly reduced the emotional charge of negative memories. This was an exploratory study with 33 participants, so caution is still needed when interpreting the findings.

Is an IEMT session right for you?

If you find that talking alone doesn't bring enough change, or you prefer practical work to endlessly looking back, IEMT therapy can often be a good fit. You don't need an extensive history of therapy, just a willingness to spend a moment focusing on a feeling or memory. Janine works exclusively online, so you can join from anywhere in the world, in Dutch or English, without having to travel. The initial consultation costs €100 excluding VAT, with secure payment via Stripe. If you are in an acute crisis or experiencing severe psychiatric symptoms, Janine will always refer you to your GP or a specialist healthcare professional.
